RIP, Meatloaf

“Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight,” the statement said. “We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man… From his heart to your souls… don’t ever stop rocking!”

Meatloaf was 74. That song was the “American Pie” of the generation jonesers.

Read about his demise early this morning. Wasn’t a big fan, but the Loaf had his moments. I thought his character in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” was pretty cool (not quite “Let’s Do The Time Warp Again”, but good), and yes I was a fan of that movie…

  7. Yes, conflicted. As with Clapton and Morrisson. You admire them for their talents, skills, art, but then the rock is turned over and things crawl out. Of course, if my rock is ever turned over… ML gave us some solid rock opera. Sorry that he turned into a Trump-loving anti-vaxxer. No, not sorry; disappointed.
