Oops: Axios Fogets To Both Sides Jan. 6 Commemoration

Hold me closer, Tiny Hands-er.

It’s all clicks and ratings to our Failed Political Press ™ and they couldn’t be happier as Axios breathlessly promotes that Steve Bannon and Hair Füror will bring their combined black hole, er, star power to Merde-a-Lardo to “counter-program” the January 6 remembrances from Democrats:

Former President Trump and fervent allies, including Steve Bannon, plan to go on the offense during Thursday’s anniversary of the Capitol insurrection — in fiery contrast with House and Senate Republican leaders, who plan no events, sources with direct knowledge tell Axios.

Why it matters: The starkly differing approaches underscore tensions remaining within the GOP about how to address the deadly riot.

The whole article —which is long for Axios— is little more than a schedule of events that the Fascists plan for their special day when they laid siege to democracy.

Missing: any mention of what the Democrats will be doing that Team Evil is counter-programming. They totally forgot to both sides it, and we should state clearly that there are not two sides to treason.

Pro Tip for Axios: this is not a scoop. This was predictable.

I’m actually kinda shocked that our press seems to be falling for this and appears to be actively promoting the fall of democracy. It is a remarkable low, even for Axios.

  1. I’m beginning to honestly think that the political press really thinks that fascism is something that happens to other people.

They might want to look at what The Orange Suppurating Taint’s “Great Friend and Strong Leader” Orban has done in Hungary.

Or worse…maybe they ARE aware and are all just staying on the good side of the fascists, in which case it’s dangling from overpasses for them, too, in the end.

In the long, bloody useless end.

It took 36 years before they finally jettisoned Franco and his thugs were killing people in the streets to the end.

Any network new or other new media covering the Mar a whodafuckcares Celebration (because they will be celebrating) as anything other than insurrectionists getting away with it, they are complicit.
    But hey, why change?

  4. I still read a local newspaper, but only looking for gleefully hoped-for obituaries and police reports. Most of the people I knew in high school and college are either dead or MIA.
