Guys, I had the booster yesterday, and today I am figuratively knackered.
Carry-on! Consider this an open thread, if you want.

Good for you for getting the boost. You’ll only feel punky for a day and then we’ll have our ‘grain back ready to lick his weight in wildcats.

I am sorry you feel poorly but if this is a picture of you, you are extremely cute.

I didn’t feel much in the way of ill effects from the Booster. I did, however, mix it with tequila, so YMMV…

I would like to think that Betty White was a long term Spitballer, in spirit if not actuality. Fare well, sweet lady….

The dread booster shot.
This is how i have managed this vaccination.
Arrange transportation.
Wash body, have clean clothes.
Bring ID card, just in case. So far i haven’t been asked. That could be because i am old.
Don’t forget the mask!
Before you go into the building, arrange with your ride where you will meet when you exit.
Get the vaccination. You won’t hardly even feel it.
Plan to take it easy the next day. Have snacks, have water, whatever. My arm was sore, i had a slight headache, i was tired.
All in all i had a nice bed day. I went to visit my favorite blogs, ate some tasty foods, and slept it off. I will do it again if necessary.

I haven’t done the booster yet.
However, the first and second shots were no big deal. I was prepared to take a day off, especially since some nurses we talked to were full of stories about the second shot kicking butt.
Hubby, though, had a rough time with the second shot. Down sick for two full days, then kind of convalescing fora couple more days after. And that was after the first shot gave him insignificant side effects.

MDavis –
Make sure your DH gets the booster. I had the predicted reaction from each shot. I always have the predicted reaction from shots. I’m the poster boy for “Some patients report…”

TG – he’s the poster boy for “get the flu shot, catch the flu”, so I’m relieved he actually got both shots. We’ll see about the booster when it’s due – isn’t it six months after the 2nd vax?
