Happy Hour News

Well, more subpoenas dropped today, per The WaPo:

The House select committee investigating the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob issued subpoenas Friday to six people involved in the planning of the rally on the Ellipse that preceded the insurrection.

Among those subpoenaed were Max Miller, who was an aide to President Donald Trump and is now an Ohio congressional candidate who the committee says met with Trump on Jan. 4 to discuss rally details, and another Trump aide, Robert “Bobby” Peede Jr., who also attended the meeting…

…Miller is running in Ohio’s 13th Congressional District and has received Trump’s endorsement, as well as the support of more than a dozen other prominent Republicans and Trump allies, including Reps. Ronny Jackson (Tex.) and Billy Long (Mo.), former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows…

…This past week, Miller said in a tweet, “Upon taking office, I will make sure one of my first votes is to disband this partisan committee that has weaponized its powers against innocent Americans. Ohioans are tired of watching D.C.’s witch hunts and political theater while the country burns.”

A spokesman for Miller didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.

I bet.

So Ohio, you got this Miller candidacy working for you. And yes, this is the same Miller that Stephanie Grisham accused of physically abusing her. Back to the story and we learn some of the others who were subpoena’ed and who they work for:

Others subpoenaed include former Trump aide Brian Jack, now an adviser to the political operation of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.); Stop the Steal movement organizer Ed Martin; and Kimberly Fletcher, a leader of Moms for America, the group that helped organize the Jan. 5 rally at Freedom Plaza and the rally at the Ellipse. The panel also subpoenaed Bryan Lewis, who obtained the permit for the rally.

A Rogues Gallery.

  1. pfft..they’ll wipe their asses with the subpoenas, Congress will cite them for contempt and the DOJ will do something…eventually…maybe. Wouldn’t want to rush things, it would be unseemly.

We needed a wartime consigliere AG, but we got Merrick…

      BDR –

It’s really hard to maintain obtain any optimism with Garland. I keep hoping that there is some sort of legal stratagem behind his reluctance, but I’m getting the feeling that he is just absent. I had the same fears with Obama’s AG Eric Holder, too (and sadly, I was right: no indictments for Chimpy).

      Sigh,

A rouges’ gallery indeed – a murders’ row of characters we will never hear of again.

I hope they printed those subpoenas on recyclable paper, so when they wrap up their leftover lunchables and chuck them in the trash, the environmental impact will be minimal.

Where do you get these pictures? They can’t be that excluded, can they? We have plenty of dumbass people around here , but at least some people know how to spell.
This whole stupid situation is powerless people who have been told that education is bad.
Also they feel inferior. I would feel inferior too!
Especially because i know that my ancestors were more educated than i am!
They inherit a country and a tragic history and an opportunity that they choose not to take.

Nope, naw, no way. They are just going to go with the latest dictator who gives them a flag to wave.
What a bunch of amateurs. My people were real peasants and we helped create the USA.
    These fools don’t know shit.

And they will all be running around like chickens with their heads cut off yelling Citizens Arrest Executive Privilage like it’s some kind of magic incantation. And I’ve not heard a single one of them proclaim that they are not a witch in this witch hunt they speak of. Coincidence? I think not,
