The Twitter Fail Whale

And then, BOOM, he’s gone:

Now normally the nameless-faceless CEOs of tech companies come and go without comment, but this is different as Axios afternoon email thingie notes with all their usual weird formatting an enigmatic bullet usage:

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey is exiting the company he helped build at a time when its future has never been so uncertain.

  • Why it matters: The person who controls Twitter controls the de facto public square — with implications for politics, media and free speech.

[snip]

Behind the scenes, tension has been brewing between Dorsey and stakeholders who argued he was a part-time CEO.

The keyword there is stakeholders. Let’s meet one! (This is a year+ old, but it is significant)

And here’s news today from Elliot Management:

Now here’s where it gets fun. The hedge fund Elliott Management is owned by Paul Singer, and here’s what you need to know about him. He’s a Republican True Believer.

And here’s another interesting tidbit:

Haag, Matthew; Rubinstein, Dana (22 October 2020). “Hedge Fund Magnate Is Moving His $41 Billion Firm From N.Y. to Florida”. The New York Times. ISSN0362-4331. Retrieved 26 October 2020.

Yup: Palm Beach, near Merde-a-Lardo. Cannot imagine why.

Anyway, speculation for a while has been that if Singer could get rid of Dorsey and load the board, he would return Hair Füror’s Twitter to him, and then essentially turn the platform into what GRIFTTR and Parlor and all those other platforms could never be.

Looks like Singer is executing to his plan.

That’s a lot of effort to trigger the libs!

If this happens, and Vulgarmort is reinstated, anyone left of Max Boot should delete their accounts.

  5. ….and then, like all those also-ran platforms, people will abandon the platform in droves as it becomes increasingly hateful, uncontrolled, and unusable.

This is a non-event. This is a person who will go build a fancy mansion in a pretty part of the world and evict the peasants. He will be a billionaire and experiment with mind altering drugs.
He will never go hungry, and he will always have slaves.
He will look at the Moon and wonder if it is for sale.
