Well, slap my ass and call me biscuit: Dominion Voting Systems is suing Fox News Corporation for defamation:

Dominion Voting Systems Inc. sued Fox Corp. this week in an effort to get access to executive-level documents about Fox News’ coverage of the 2020 election. The company sued Fox News in March of this year…

…Specifically. the voting software company wants to know how much awareness of and control over chair Rupert Murdoch and CEO Lachlan Murdoch had when it came to the network’s coverage. Dominion and Smartmatic, another voting company, have sued a number of right-wing outlets and personalities for their coverage of the 2020 election. Former president Donald Trump and many close to him have baselessly asserted for the past year that the election was somehow rigged in favor of President Joe Biden. Dominion and Smartmatic found themselves in the middle of the conspiracy.

As a reminder, the four elements of a defamation claim are as follows:

  1. One or more false statements purporting to be fact.
  2. Publication or communication of those false statements to a third person.
  3. Fault amounting to at least negligence (the person either knew, or should have known, the statements were false).
  4. Damages to the target of the statement.

Dominion really only has to prove #4: did FNC hurt their earnings, and it seems pretty obvious that Republican Secretaries of State are not going to buy DVS products for fear of getting Hair Füror wrath. A lot of equipment got thrown out during those Cyber-Ninnies-style audits, so who got the replacement contracts, hmmm?

Discovery on this should be lit. Imagine what we might learn about Fox News editorial control? Dominion has them dead to rights, too, so this is not just a fishing excursion, methinks they are going for the kill.

Fox News can easily absorb a $1.5B Amero loss, but it sets the path for Newsmax and ONAN, who cannot.

The fish, as they say, rots from the head.

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you that Tort Reform has not become a raging issue on FAUX. Yet.
