Some Sunday Afternoon Stupid?

Sweet, sweet relief

I didn’t think that it was theoretically possible for anyone to be dumber than Ted Cruz, but I had not considered the possibility of the Terrible Sand Kingdom of Arizonastan to take up the challenge:

A number of publications say it’s so. Well Faux Snooze (via The Hollywood Reporter), and the Manhaten (sic) Institute, as well as the Christian Science Monitor all have claimed so. And I thought the worst of Sesame Street was the Cookie Monster or maybe Oscar the Grouch, but the kids liked it and learned a lot about life. I will spare everyone the links…

She’s just upset that Big Bird mentioned getting the covid vaccine.
And, surely, anyone who says getting the vaccine is a good idea and doesn’t hurt must be bad, very bad.

I just had to research who Wendy Rogers is. Hold on to your hats!

An outspoken Donald Trump supporter, she led a successful primary challenge against incumbent Republican Senator Sylvia Allen, who was long considered one of the most conservative Arizona legislators. Rogers is a member of Oath Keepers, an anti-government militia organization whose members took part in the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. She has indicated agreement with the Great Replacement conspiracy theory embraced by white supremacists and has made appearances on a webcast that promotes hate speech. After being elected, her rhetoric on social media became increasingly extreme. Rogers spoke at an October 2021 QAnon-linked conference in Las Vegas.

What does it say about Arizona that such a person can be elected there?

    • That the crazy runs deep in Northern AZ.

Silvia Allen once claimed (while at a meeting about uranium mining in AZ) that the workd was 6,000 years old, tried to pass a law making church attendance compulsory, and once introduced a bill to ban the word “homosexual” from all AZ educational materials.

She was already lamenting that all of those dirty immigrants are gonna make the US look like South America.

Wendy had to out-crazy her to win the primary…and did.

The Oath Keepers were started by the former Sheriff of Graham County , Richard Mack. (and note the former part…he was too crazy for them, they voted him out.
