Stupid Coup speaker and noted body armor-wearer Rep. Mo Brooks says that he was not involved in planning the insurrection:
“If you’re talking about someone participating in meetings, setting the agenda, raising the money, I don’t know of anything that suggests my staff as doing that stuff,” the congressman said in a phone interview on Monday.
Notice how ol’ Mo is shifting the blame to his staff?
Try again, Mo:
Brooks said he only spoke at the Jan. 6 rally because the White House asked him to do so the day before.
Still not convinced?
“I was really busy,” Brooks said. “I was working on speeches for the House floor debates.”
“…and figurin’ out how t’ put on mah body armor,” he did not add. “Ah can’t even tie mah own shoes, y’all know, which is why Ah hardly ever wear ’em.”
UPDATE 1: “Quite frankly, I’d be proud of [his staff] if they did help organize a First Amendment rally to protest voter fraud and election theft.” — AL.com
