The comic actor Peter Scolari has gone to the repertoire in the sky. He was 66, and cancer was the cause.
You probably new him from Newhart where he played the vacuous Michael Harris (nominated for 3 Emmys for that role), and before that the short-lived Bosom Buddies where he and Tom Hanks rose from obscurity to stars.
He will be missed.
Man, that’s a punch in the feels. Him and Hanks were great in Bosom Buddies and Peter came across as a relatable and nice/genuine person (on or off camera) because of all the mannerisms and nuances he brought to his character. It’s a darker world without him.

Fuck cancer. Sideways. With a rusty pitchfork.

Sadly, that’s getting more and more common in my experience 😦

So sad. Couldn’t find the clip but I remember seeing him being interviewed on Letterman, he did a sort of ‘stupid human trick’ by moving in to a full handstand from a seated position in his chair – incredibly athletic.
