House Odds: Zero Republicans Will Vote For Manchin’s Democracy Bill Today

“For ME?!”
Joe Manchin’s demands must be met!

Senate Democrats will hold a test vote on the Freedom to Vote Act TODAY.

The bill would:

  • ban partisan redistricting
  • expand access to the polls
  • protect career election officials from partisan interference

The bill is coauthored by Sen. Joe Manchin (Obstruction-WV) will test his theory that there are 10 good Senate Republicans who will vote to protect elections from Hair Füror’s autocratic machinations.

[Announcer Voice: There are not 10 good Senate Republicans.]

The house bets at most one (1) Senate Republican will vote with the Dims and probably zero (0) Senate GOP will support the bill whatsoever. Tiger Beat’s email thingie:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Tuesday that it is his “hope and anticipation” that no Republicans will vote for the Freedom to Vote Act, which he described as an attempt by Democrats “to have the federal government take over how elections are conducted all over America.”

Have your Quatloos ready!

Thank you for this! I just used it in my response to my US Sen., Roger Marshall, who last week wrote me that he disagrees with me about the Freedom to Vote act, so he’d not be supporting it in any fashion. Your line about cheating and rules is perfect, and I’m certain his BP will rise, briefly, after he hears that. 🌹🌟🌹
