I’m old enough to remember when a kid could be institutionalized for being attracted to the same sex. In 1975 it began to change when the American Psychological Association realized that homosexuality wasn’t a mental disorder, and encouraged its members to say so. I thought we had gotten beyond “the mark of the beast” kinda thing, but I guess we (mostly they) haven’t evolved that much. It really is too bad that we once again have to deal with this. Apparently the beast never sleeps…

Chilren shouldn’t learn about these things IN school. These things should be taught on the playground by one of their peers. The same way my daddy and his daddy learneded it.

It’s the WAY children are being taught these things. Not that they ARE being taught these things. Sex & gender are not the same thing. & a singular person does not get called “they”. & babies are NOT assigned girls or boys at birth … sex is observed & noted. No child is born in the “wrong body”. Nobody is EVER born in the wrong body.
& if a child is under the age of 10, they don’t need to learn about these things AT ALL. Let them be children. Let them learn … reading, writing, arithmetic, American history, things they actually need to know.
& for the love of whoeverthefuck, leave Christianity out of it already.

This is right up there with “how dare they teach my 4th grader CRT!” It’s akin to that old chestnut “When did you stop beating your wife?” And I can hardly wait to hear my co-workers’ take on this. It will probably be some variant on how bad it is for the poor schoolchildren being taught this, Joe’s goons are preventing parents from protesting, and the gov of some state saying “it’s none of your business what we teach your kids”
