Guys, it looks like vaccine mandates are working:
Those stories about entire squadrons of fighter pilot resigning en masse are stories.
UPDATE 1: It Sure Seems Like a Lot of People Are Choosing to Get Vaccinated Rather Than Lose Their Jobs
Novant Health, a large hospital system in North Carolina, announced on Monday that it had been forced to fire just 175 employees after they refused to go along with its new policy requiring staffers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. By any objective measure, this should have been an encouraging success story about an employer successfully nudging its workforce to make a responsible decision. Novant told the Washington Post that 99 percent of its 35,000-strong staff had been inoculated. The week before, it had suspended 375 holdouts, but most of them ultimately chose to get their shots and keep their jobs.
And yet, this was the headline the Washington Post decided to slap on the piece: “N.C. Hospital System Fires About 175 Workers in One of the Largest-Ever Mass Terminations Due to a Vaccine Mandate.” The tone of doom and turmoil might easily have led a Twitter or Facebook user casually skimming the news to believe that some poor medical center had just been decimated by defections, when in fact the story was just the opposite.
Now, if we could only convince the degenerate
gamblers“reporters” of our vaunted press to point this out instead of slavishly sucking the dicks of sociopathic monsters like Ron DeathSentence and all his “winning” and portraying the anti-vaxx hysteria as some legitimate political faction instead of the loud and noisy tiny minority they are.LikeLiked by 5 people
Anytime Our Failed Political Press ™ reports on absolute numbers of people who refuse the vaccine, do the quick calculus on percentage. It’s a big tell that they are selling the sizzle and not the steak. Or in this case, stake.

The Buffalo News had a huge story about people who are refusing the mandate & losing their jobs & OH NO WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO NOW …. one woman is going to GA to be a “traveling nurse” … having to leave her children … (cry me a river) … another guy is interviewing for FedEx … OK … he’ll have to go through at least two interviews, piss into a cup to prove he’s not a pothead, submit to a criminal background check & a credit check & ya know what? He probably won’t even get the job cuz that’s how FedEx rolls … BUT HEY, he’s “fighting for our freedoms” … keep fighting asshole, I’m healthy with my vaccinations & going to get my booster shot in November & you might be dead by then.

That’s hysterical – I wonder why this dude thinks FedEx is a better place for anti-vaxxers?

PS – I’m glad you are vaxxed and going for the booster when eligible. Me too.

He may have taken inspiration from this guy. Who is no longer with Fedex, but Snopes says it’s unclear whether they fired him or he quit.

I have mentioned here before that our daughter is married to an ignorant trumphole and they had decided to not get the vaccine- however- when his company- long before the current get it or your fired- said get the vax or go look for a job- he got the vax and so did she. Of course- it’s just J&J and they probably won’t get another- but for now- at least I don’t have to worry about them dying and leaving their 18month old daughter an orphan.

That’s gotta be tense around your joint, Beckymaenot. I think that the Trump-Virus brought all sorts of family fissures to the top. My sisters and I still do not know if our wingnut brother is vaccinated, and even his grown-ass wingnut kids are not talking to us to let us know. That whole branch of the family could be wiped out in an instant, and it wouldn’t surprise me.
