GOP Saboteurs, er, Senators Unanimously Vote Against Funding Country

Amply be-chinned #MoscowMitch McConnell

Republican Senators voted unanimously to block an increase in the debt limit. Technically (get ready for some arcane Senate merde, these people are blowhards) they blocked consideration of the bill at all, because the vote was on “whether to allow a vote on the motion to proceed to consideration of the bill” that would have raised the debt limit and thus provided continued funding for government operations along with emergency funds for damages from natural disasters and other priorities.”

The United States could plunge into an immediate recession thanks to Republicans’ refusal, according to Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, who warns that 6 million jobs could be wiped out, sending the unemployment rate surging to 9 percent.

If the limit is not raised the government won’t be able to borrow more money, forcing officials to choose between missing payments on military salaries for more than one million troops, Social Security benefits for 50 million recipients, and the interest it owes to investors. (Trump’s massive 2017 tax cut means the government has fewer funds today, and therefore needs to borrow more.)

Press Run

And that, kids, is the Republicans voting against keeping the government running. And it was 100% of them. Don’t ever tell me that there is a reasonable Republican or one who might have principles, or even one who might switch teams. They are saboteurs working against the country.

This is not a failure of Conservatism. It’s a feature.
May they all receive daily wedgies for the rest of their stinking lives.

It used to be that both parties recognized how insane and destructive this was to our economy. The GOP are arsonists if they can’t run everything.

What the fuck? I have had it with these self-serving, petulant, burn it down if we can’t run it assholes. They are seriously fucking it up for everybody who isn’t a 1percenter. I hate these assholes with a white hot passion and I am sick and tired of the Democrats in ability to play hard ball. Fuck these assholes. make them own it. It’s time to get serious about saving democracy in America. Get off your asses Dems and fix this shit. The GOP is the GQP and they don’t give a shit about what happens to the average citizen. The GQP is not interested in America as it is. They want their White Power America and it’s time to smack them down. Get on with it Biden- or don’t you care? These are not the Republicans you used to know in the Senate and it’s time for you to start treating them like the asshole insurrectionists they are. Goddamn I am so tired of this shit.

I suppose it’s merely a coincidence that their knight in shining armor also refuses to pay his bills. They must assume this is how they get ahead in life.

Unhappily, I saw a snippet of TFG at his GA rally. He sounded like an old, drunk RWNJ ranting at the end of his local bar. This was the meeting where he called Biden, literally, a “son of a bitch.” He’s a hideous, vicious, caricature of a human being and the GQP’s hero.

Exactly – the loudmouth drunk at the end of the bar, always there, always spouting the same obnoxious crap.

      • He has always sounded like an old, drunk RWNJ ranting at the end of his local bar. That’s what his base worships him for, and why they’re eager and willing to die for him.

They really think he’s ‘one of them’, instead of the carnival barker con man he is (or was, until the brain rot turned him into carnival barking mad…)

Everything he needed to know about politics he learned from professional wrestling.

It’s all keyfabe, which is fine for the WWF, fatal for the USA.

@brucedesertrat – I made the comment because the clip I saw was really disturbing. Slurred speech, garrulous, loud ranting, the very image of a batshit-crazy madman. It is horrifying to think of this piece of shit back in the WH with the power of the Presidency.
