He’s too sexxxy for his onesies

Guys, we know that by inaction, the Supreme Court has effectively overturned Roe so guess what?! They are coming back to finish it off:

Supreme Court sets Dec. 1 for arguments in challenge to Roe v. Wade

…In taking the Mississippi case, the Supreme Court’s conservative supermajority clearly signaled its openness to revisiting and potentially overturning the landmark 1973 decision that legalized abortion nationwide, with a ruling expected next year. Justices said they want to hear arguments on whether all bans on abortion before a fetus can survive outside the womb are unconstitutional…

Since then, a flood of legal briefs have flowed in from groups on both sides of the case.

Jonathan F. Mitchell, the architect of Texas’ abortion ban, submitted his own brief over the weekend pushing the court to not only overturn Roe but other precedents protecting abortion access and what he calls “court-invented rights to homosexual behavior and same-sex marriage.”

Pay attention to Mitchell; he’s giving away the game.

I know that there are others out there besides me who believe that the theocrats real target has always been Griswold, and once that precedent goes down, so does contraception, marriage equality, and whatever sexxxy time things you like to do behind closed doors involving all the fun bits: Griswold is the decision that protects your privacy, especially between spouses. All of it goes away. All of it.

  1. He did explicitly mention Lawrence, too. Also this piece of excrement used to clerk for Scalia.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

      Who raised him?
How could they have done that to their child?

Meanwhile, out here, we are under a lot of stress.

We are dealing with this covid disease. It is a real thing. People die from this disease.
So there is nothing else to say. Who is that piece of shit? So if we see him coming, we will have warning.

This is really depressing. I’ve only known two women who’ve had abortions in both cases due to medical necessity. One woman would have died because of health issues, the other’s fetus died in her womb. Both wanted kids. According to Wapo the first lawsuit is moving forward to challenge the recent Texass legislative abortion law. I’m guessing the Supremes believe women to have no say in their reproductive health. It appears women are being consigned to second class status. The Wapo article is below. I wish the doctor being sued the best legal representation possible…

The Little War had begun. By morning, half of Washington was in flames. Senators and congressmen were dragged in terror from their homes and hanged like criminals from trees and lampposts. The police and National Guard units were swept away in the first major wave of rioting. Buildings were set afire and explosives used.

That was from chapter 2 of the William F. Nolan/George Clayton Johnson novel Logan’s Run that described the start of the “Little War,” where the young took control of the country (and eventually the world) from the old. Could something like that actually happen? I honestly don’t know, but I’d like to think that the people of this country won’t meekly submit to power-hungry politicians and judges who are determined to control everyone’s lives and turn our nation into their own twisted version of The Handmaid’s Tale‘s Republic of Gilead.

It won’t happen, it can’t happen, and there are safeguards in place to prevent it from happening.

Their fantasies will always be there, but they will never be realized.

The R’s have been working this issue since the late 70’s and are now about to deliver the base their hearts deepest desire. What may be overlooked here by the architects of this discriminatory power grab is that a considerable portion of their donations will dry up. The pro-fetus movement has been paying ahead for this and when they get what they want they will stop the cash flow. I don’t think the “conservative” politicians ever intended to deliver, knowing this, but they may have overreached with their court stack and no longer can control the narrative.

It’s not going away. Not for long. The People will not stand for it, and fascism is restricted to one third of the populace, at most.

Abortion is popular and necessary and important and icky. It’s complicated. This will liven up the Democratic base, and sooner or later sanity will inhabit the land once again.
