Guys, Gov. Sammiches is running in the 2024 Goat Rodeo:
Chris Christie — a possible 2024 presidential contender — takes direct aim at Trump
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie denounced former President Donald Trump in a speech Thursday night and said the GOP must rid itself of him and his cult of personality…
He also directly confronted Trump’s insistence that he somehow won the 2020 election — a baseless conspiracy theory the former president and his allies have been promulgating since he lost to Joe Biden in November.
“Pretending we won when we lost is a waste of time, energy and credibility,” Christie said.
“We have to clear out the brush, on our own side and on theirs, before the fresh planting can begin,” he added.
So Gov. Sammiches is trying to out-flank the rest of the Rodeo, positioning hisself to take the lead if Hair Füror is indicted by NY (and everyone tries to pretend that they never liked him, anyway). That said, Sammiches is hedging his bet:
“We do not have to change our policies to win again,” he said. He talked at length about the “radical” agenda of Biden and the need to confront China, rein in spending, stand up for law and order, control migration across the southern border, fight back against liberal bias in the mainstream media and reduce the size of government.
In other words, he’s trying to say he’d be Trump without being Trump.

Can we stop with the fat jokes, please? It’s not a good look when They do it, and it’s definitely not a good look with The Supposedly More Enlightened “We” do it. There’s plenty to criticize Christie for without resorting to fat-shaming. (And yes, this is definitely a sore spot for me, being of the “fluffy” persuasion myself. I went through enough teasing, shaming, and ridicule for my weight to know that it’s not funny, it’s cruel.)

Christie used to have the mandated pension contributions in the state budget, wouldn’t make quarterly payments, then at the end of the year he’d say the money was gone. My plan is to die before the NJ pension system goes bust.

The guy’s weight is emblematic of the gluttonous appetites he has in all the other areas of his life. He’s a greedy, self-absorbed, and self-important swine, just dying to re-attach himself to the public teat. He’s very like Mike Pompeo in this respect.
I don’t think this HOG has a chance in hell in 2024. He’ll always have the “Bridgegate” millstone around his neck, and a reputation as perhaps the most loathed Governor in my state’s history.
