The Quotable Harry Reid (probably to Sens Manchin and Sinema?)

Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has sumpin’ to say to Sens. Manchin and Sinema

“The sanctity of the Senate is not the filibuster. The sanctity of the Senate — in government as a whole — is the power it holds to better the lives of and protect the rights of the American people. We need to get the Senate working again.”

“It’s time Senate Democrats act with the urgency that this moment demands and abolish the filibuster once and for all.”

    What is Reid smoking?
Oh, yeah, the smoke from several California wildfires, including the one that had Nevadans evacuating their homes.
I just checked a small collection of today’s news reports and got two things out of it.
    We’re still here.
Climate change is not getting reported on much this morning. There is much more concern with who is getting chosen as figurative homecoming queen and with who stole those strawberries.

And that, my friends, is why republicans call us communists. The needs of the many, yadda, yadda, yadda.
