We hope that —for a while at least— they left just the horse’s ass up on the pedestal.
Anyway, our pals over at Electoral-Vote have a nice bit up about the history of confederate monuments that debunks the talking point that history is being rewritten or CANCEL CULTURED!!1! through the removal of the Lee statue.
Mock Paper Scissors 
The best thing they can do is cut up and recycle all those confudderate statues. If they leave them up, some poor yokel will get drunk and fixated on it and go start a fight. Or a riot, same thing.
Despite the other view, they are truly a rallying point for racial hatred and we need to get as far away from that as possible.
