Stupid Coup II Has A Release Date

Insurrection enthusiast Sen. Josh Hawley Salutes the Stupid Coup Troops

Guys, the Insurrectionists are planning another, uh, “protest” on September 18:

AP sources: Intel shows extremists to attend Capitol rally

WASHINGTON (AP) — Far right extremist groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are planning to attend a rally later this month at the U.S. Capitol that is designed to demand “justice” for the hundreds of people who have been charged in connection with January’s insurrection, according to three people familiar with intelligence gathered by federal officials.

So what’s the plan?

The officials have been discussing security plans that involve reconstructing the fence as well as another plan that does not involve a fence, the people said. They were not authorized to speak publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

The planned Sept. 18 rally at the Capitol comes as a jittery Washington has seen a series of troubling one-off incidents — including, most recently, a man who parked a pickup truck near the Library of Congress and said he had a bomb and detonator. Among the most concerning events: A series of unexploded pipe bombs placed around the U.S. Capitol ahead of the Jan. 6 insurrection remain unexplained and no suspect has been charged.

The Stupid Coup didn’t let the fence stop them last time, so I have my doubts that it will be  any more effective this time, and obviously IEDs scattered hither and yon will not be deterred by a fence. I hope their Plan B that does not involve a fence involves the National Guard.

UPDATE: well, related news – Liz Cheney named vice chair of the January 6 select committee. I guess they are being all bipartisan-y again?

I bet Bobert, Hawley and/or Greene could shed some light on the provenance of those bombs.

National Guard. Live ammunition. Make Kent State look like a Nerf fight. Let’s see just how well the Call of Duty-trained members of Meal Team Six do against the real military. I’m betting that (A) it won’t be pretty, and (2) they’ll wish they’d worn their brown pants.

Spare me, please. I’m done turning the other cheek with these idjits who want to bring on Civil War II. Every time they’re given a pass and handled with kid gloves, they only become more emboldened. Talking and playing nice-nice hasn’t, isn’t, and won’t be working with these people. If they want to cosplay with live ammo, let them see what it’s like to engage with an opponent that isn’t just a bunch of pixels on a TV screen.

I’m agreeing with you MP, I was just feeling nostalgic.

I have often welcomed them to point their pop-guns at the US Army.

So they show up to protest the treatment of rioters, they riot, and are afforded the same treatment. In six months, Stupid Coup III takes place, to protest the treatment of Coup II rioters. Does Darwin love us that much? With anti-vaxxers dying, and Coup Kooks continually banging their heads against the same wall and ending up indicted?

Make sure that there’s a lot of facial recognition cameras in the area, and enough counterforce and Marshalls and FBI to conduct arrests. Might even catch a few more “missing” 1/6 insurrectionists.

I contend this would be a great time to test some of the new(er) non-lethal “crowd control/dispersal technologies.

Your Soundlazer (Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD))
    Your 40mm / 12 Gauge Non-lethal Crowd Dispersal Cartridge
Your Active Denial System (95 GHz/3.2 millimeter (heat) waves)

The sight of Meal Team 6 scrambling out-of-range would be hilarious.

Call me cruel, but way back in the 60s’ in Berkeley, the cops allowed a group to gather, in fact, they herded people into a group a small as possible. Then they heavily gassed them all at once. They even wouldn’t let the crowd go at first, not until they had a good lung full of gas.
I am all for giving those guys the sharp end of the stick.

This time I’m fairly certain the capital cops will be behind something much more substantial and armed for bear (spray). I don’t see any idiots who climb the fences going free this time. Karmically satisfying as a police riot would be, I do hope and doubt that will come to pass. I expect mostly a fizzle on the part of the protesters with maybe some windows broken on other buildings and random attacks on anyone who looks like a counter protester. But whatever happens will certainly be screamed out as a fascistic Biden police state by the right regardless of outcomes.

Bring in some of these guys and call it a Trump-approved method for dealing with unruly protests –
Cuts down on the number of (other) paddy wagons needed.

There should be some significant differences from 1/6/21 — Quick deployment of the National Guard, Capitol Police on alert and fully staffed, and a president who isn’t sitting on his fat ass enjoying the show.

The “morans” seem to forget that justice may take the form of condemnation and punishment, rather than exoneration.

The fences would work except the phone call is coming from inside the house.
