Hello TG. Adorable. I love it. Our cat devours fancy feast also, but as he spreads it out over the plate he will stop eating and meow until we take a spoon and scrape it all back into a nice, neat pile for him. He has us well trained. In our defense the price of cat food is enough of a motivation to make sure he will eat tall his meal even if we have to play butler to the spoiled cat. Hugs

We’ve had a couple of delightful feline gentlemen who requested that particular service. I think it has to do with how important smell is in the process. After all, if you’re working on a fresh kill in The Wild (or the back yard) it doesn’t distribute itself in little shreddy particles across the veldt (or grass), it stays pretty cohesively in place., where the organic fragrance rises as an enticing marker, showing where the next mouthful is. I’ve read that when they’re bent over eating, they can’t actually see what’s right beneath their noses

And now we know what cats are thinking, Mary Ellen:

“…and that,” Muffin purred, “will be the last time I see you intact, homin.”

That’s the look I get from the used cat when it’s time for the laser.
