Retribution

I suppose this was inevitable:

US drone strike targeted ISIS-K planner believed to be ‘associated with potential future attacks at the airport’

“…The announcement of the strike came a day after President Joe Biden vowed to retaliate for the terrorist attack in Kabul even as he said the frantic mission to airlift Americans from Afghanistan would continue. Biden approved the strike on the ISIS-K planner, according to an official familiar with the matter.

“We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay,” the President said in remarks from the White House on Thursday.

That would be the same ISIS that Lord Damp Nut claims he destroyed 100%, which is a lie like everything else coming out of his mouth hole.

Anyway, I hope this doesn’t escalate, but I suspect it will. Humans are confounding for their willingness to die for a fanatical cause.

This sure contrasts with the rumor I heard (rumor because I won’t watch news at work) from a co-worker that some democrat was saying “So what if Americans were just killed in Afghanistan? More people are killed by COVID-19 every day.”
Which could be called a true statement, but what politician would actually say this for publication? I’m guessing a bomb-throwing Republican would, but have not investigated. Has anyone else seen where this came from?
(Last rumor I heard this stupid was that Fauci had said that people who had taken the vaccine had a thousand times more virus in their system than people who didn’t – tracked that one down to him trying to explain how much more contagious the Delta Variant is, and I think he was talking to medical professionals.)

Tried to source your quote, but no luck. I’m guessing your coworker made it up or is repeating (like a good Trumpanzee) something he heard in a coffee shop, or waiting in line to buy an assault rifle. Some people must be avoided, he sounds like one of them…

A couple of them were saying it, both pretty decent workers on a bad day. One is clearly a kook-aid (hey! an egg-corn!) imbiber, the other watched something on the first ones req. I’m guessing their source was a specific “news” outlet, like one of the ones that took over for Fox when even they couldn’t go that far. It could be a misquote, too, like the Fauci one.

I don’t think it was a coffee shop thing. I think it more likely that they watch some “news” site like ONAN or similar.

Ahh, but you forget the associative property of Democrat speech.

Some rando posts a meme to a Move On poster competition comparing Dear Leader Shrub to Hitler, or posts a meme online about General Betray-us andEVERY Democrat in any office whatsoever, from President down to the local dogcatcher must immediately condemn this. There will be congressional investigations, hearings, resolutions passed. Polls taken, it will dominate the nightly news for a week.

Ilhan Omar says “it’s all about the benjamins” regarding a pro-israel lobby and PAC and it is exactly as if she stood up in the well of Congress and read The Protocols of the Elders Of Zion into the congressional record, with EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT standing and cheering wildly.

Whereas there’s a disassociative property for Republican speech.

Josh Hawley could tweet (and I don’t keep up, so he very well may have by now ) that every Afghan refugee we’re rescuing should be put up against the wall and shot pre-emptively because they’re all terrorists come to murder us in our beds, which half of the R’s in Washington retweet approvingly; he’d guest star on Fucker’s show that night where Tucker will visibly and audibly orgasm while discussing slaughting ALL the brutes.

And just as reliably* all the MSM castigating those Dems will be all [crickets]

At most all the Sunday Morning Gasbags political pundits will stroke their beards and opine sagely about the terrorist risk posed by these [checks notes] people who helped us and were forced to flee for their lives, and how it’s the “Democrat” Party that has done all this harm to America.

And then their Reliable Republican Anal-ist who they always have on even though he’s not been in politics for 35 years (Hi Newticles!) will mention that it’s likely that Representative Omar’s incendiary antisemitism is what is driving this debate.

I think it’s something like that, where someone (Stephen King, for example) pointed out that, although the bombings resulted in tragedy, more people than that die from COVID in [Florida] every day ant that is a tragedy, too. This is then followed by the grooming by the propagandists to read as 1) a politician said it, b) the politician must have been a high-ranking democrat, probably one of Biden’s cabinet, and iii) that actual quote morphs into “so what if there was a bomb in the middle of an evacuation from a war zone?”. And, when I go hang out on Stonekettle for a bit of perspective, I get confirmation that such actions are to be expected. Get stuck in a muddy quagmire for a couple of decades, expect some mud on your carpets when you finally come home from that.

  2. Reach out and touch someone, huh? The data needed to pull off that strike is amazing.

Israel and the Republicans have a long history of false flags: “9/11”, Benghazi; and while there are numerous reports ISIS-K has claimed responsibility for the airport bombings last week most of those reports are credibly caveated that there is no physical evidence of that being so.

    It’s prime-time for false-flags, here’s hoping Joe didn’t play a sucker’s hand.

We have no idea what the truth is
