Sweet Jeebus:

That is not faith, that is the very definition of Giving Up.

“…you don’t have to be scared of things.” That’s one way to get the Bible thumper vote.

What are the chances Mississippi stores are sold out of horse de-wormer?

“See yer hands, maggot?” “Grab your ass, kiss it good-bye.”

Note: There may be some god-related sorting at the back end.

When you listen to science, instead of evangelical morons, and get vaccinated, you don’t have to be scared of things.

Well then get your righteous ass out there, Tate, and tell that damn hurricane Ida as it comes ashore that you stand strong and are not afraid. Show your ‘people’ what faith can do.
    Irresponsible bloody moron.

Y’all can bet your rebel ass that Gov Tate Reeves thinks he has a safe place to stay.

In that case, when evangelicals come down with covid-19, it would be disrespectful to their beliefs for nurses and doctors to give them a scarce hospital bed and spend a bunch of effort trying to save them. Let them hasten along to that non-scary afterlife which is what they really want, and conserve resources for the unbelievers who choose to stay here.

Everybody wants to go to heaven, nobody wants to die. We have been saying that for thousands of years, and still this is the best that sack of shit can say?
What a crappy miserable governor. I thought he was supposed to be a leader.

  7. Ten Bears says:

Again with my trouble differentiating doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results as faith, or insanity … ? I have a graphic somewhere in my BartCop collection, haven’t used it in a while and I can’t drop it here, and no doubt it was photoshopped but in a nutshell: Faith is doing something even though common sense tells you not to.

If a subset of the population hasn’t short-circuited, got their jumpers crossed …

If you had to put a face to the name “Gomer” that Governor fits the Billy Jim Joe Bob of it all.

  9. GranDude says:

I’d expect evangelicals to fight death by every means available. Their vindictive god might send them to hell for something as simple as a fart in public or hypocrisy.

  10. spotthedog says:

“… you don’t have to be so scared of things.” – except vaccines and masks, you should be frightened to death of those things, eternally.

He looks like the kind of X-tian who would proudly own a genuine piece of fiberglass from Noah’s Ark, and an autographed photo of Jeebus hisself.

      Spot –

He does look like someone who graduated from eating paste and got in line for the Elmer’s Glue.

  11. Ten Bears says:

I’m curious, if all those people are so confidant in their everlasting life, that their time here is but a blip on the grand scale and hurricanes, wildfires or worldwide pandemics are not to be feared, why do they need all those guns!? Why don’t they just drink some Kool-Aid?
