Jeff Bezos Wants More of Your Tax Dollars

Billionaires in Space Race

Blue Origin Jeff Bezos flies a dick into space

More proof, as if we needed it, that future Bond villain Jeff Bezos doesn’t pay enough taxes:

Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin sues NASA, escalating its fight for a Moon lander contract

“…Blue Origin was one of three firms vying for a contract to land NASA’s first astronauts on the Moon since 1972. In April, NASA shelved the company’s $5.9 billion proposal of its Blue Moon landing system and went with SpaceX’s $2.9 billion Starship proposal instead, opting to pick just one company for the project after saying it might pick two. The contract involves two lunar landings — one test landing without humans, and another with humans — and SpaceX has already received $439 million from NASA to start its work, according to federal data.”

Yup, the world’s richest man —who pays an effective tax rate of zero— is suing the government for more of your tax money, and the government will have to defend its decision by —you guessed it— paying more of your tax money.

  1. Nasa only picked one company because Congress only appropriated half the money requested.

Sorry Jeffy, you’re going to have to sell your Space Dildo System elsewhere.

Privatizing the space program? I wouldn’t want to be an astronaut these days, as in lowest bidder gets the contract and soon to follow all those unforeseen cost overruns and cut corners to enliven profits.

It’s so depressing that even something like exploring outer space which once inspired millions is now so wedded to the whims of our vulture capitalist free market and our supposed ‘heroes’ are pricks like bezos.

I think that species is Chaotic Neutral – so if there is a buck to be made by being non-evil, they’ll go that way. There are simply fewer bucks to be made that way than by going evil.

I suspect he just wants first rights of transport due to his mistaken idea that all it will take to set up housekeeping on the moon is getting on a rocket and moving to the new neighborhood to get away from the Earth’s environmental collapse.

Space is a waste. Sure, groovy stuff has come out of it, but we’re not gonna’ pack up seven soon to be ten billion people and move them to a more hospitable rock. We have about ten years to figure out what the fuck we’re gonna’ do else my brand-new baby grand-daughter will likely be of the last generation. Until such a time as he can invest in the here and now he can fold his disney-dildo into a bunch of sharp corners and stuff it where he no doubt likes it.

So too Elon, and his second-hand Made In China earth-boring machine digging, disneyland tubes to nowhere. Fuck him, use that machine to start building neighborhoods, because that’s where we’re gonna’ have to go to get away from it. We’re not moving ten billion people out into space, but we might just be able to move them under ground.

I don’t know about the Brit, compared to his Muikkkan counterparts he seems human, but there’s no doubt something to “fuck him” about.

Space is a waste, we need to quit it. Concentrate on the here and now …

That space ship has sailed. Space could probably support several thousand humans if we had kept going after the moon shots achieved manned landing. The most productive thing that might come out of space shot at this time would be enough satellites to reduce the amount of sunshine that reaches the upper atmosphere, and doing the math should discourage these idiots from going that route. I can’t do the math, but based on “Earth is big, space is bigger” there is no way to get enough stuff in orbit to create the sunlight reduction needed.

So Bozo bids twice as much as Eloi, and then sues because he wasn’t awarded the contract? Only in Murka.
