Why Some Republicans Became Vaccine Enthusiasts

H/T Scissorhead Jimmy-T

Many are speculating about why SOME conservative voices are suddenly becoming vaccine evangelicals, but this twitter thread presents some possible evidence as to why: Hospitalizations and deaths are running 50% higher per capita in Possum Hollar than in blue counties.

The anti-vaxxers are not just killing themselves, but they are also killing the new Republican gerrymander maps. If the Red Hats in a new district die off all at once, that district turns Blue by survival.

Sure, it’s speculation, but I’m applying the Noonan Rule:

“Is it irresponsible to speculate? It would be irresponsible not to.”

– Bacardi Lifetime Achievement Winner, Peggy Noonan, Wall St. Journal, April 2000.

Remember: Republicans never do anything because it is the correct moral choice. They only do things for power and money.

We will always remember who was responsible, even if (when) the death toll changes the electoral map in a way that favors the not insane…

Since it is irresponsible not to speculate, I’m going with they’ve recenly lost a close friend or family member followed by an epiphany.

Darn it. I was going with party fade out by 2024. It was so fitting that they would rather die than get the vaccination. Dinosaurs running towards the meteorite.
Next thing they will give up fast food and be pro vegetable diets.
