Social Idiot Sues Social Media

Trumper tantrum

The King of Vengeance, Lord Damp Nut is not a subtle man, the dog whistle remains dusty, and the art of the sublime retort might as well be Greek to him. No, a symphony for sledgehammer & bullhorn is more his style. So when Axios tells us that the twice-impeached LOSER and ex-prznint Stupid plans to sue Facebook’s Mark Faceberg and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey, we are not looking for subtle legal theories:

Why it matters: It’s the latest escalation in Trump’s yearslong battle with Twitter and Facebook over free speech and censorship. Trump is completely banned from Twitter and is banned from Facebook for another two years.

Details: Trump is scheduled to make an announcement at a press conference today at 11 am.

  • Trump’s legal effort is supported by the America First Policy Institute, a non-profit focused on perpetuating Trump’s policies.
  • The group’s president and CEO and board chair, former Trump officials Linda McMahon and Brooke Rollins, will accompany him during the announcement.
  • Class action lawsuits would enable him to sue the two tech CEOs on behalf of a broader group of people that he argues have been censored by biased policies.
  • To date, Trump and other conservative critics have not presented any substantial evidence that either platform is biased against conservatives in its policies or implementation of them.

In fact if you look at the top trending topics on Facebook any given day, most of them involve Ben Shapiro and assorted GQP talking points, so gonna be hard to make a class action suit there when the class is the classless jackass of Miami Beach.

The big picture: Data shows that Trump’s megaphone has been significantly muzzled in light of bans from Big Tech platforms, particularly Twitter and Facebook.

  • The president and his allies have repeatedly criticized the bans as censorship. The tech giants argue they were put in place for safety reasons following the Capitol siege in January.
  • Facebook’s independent Oversight Board affirmed Facebook’s decision to suspend Trump in May.
  • Even during his presidency, Trump has tried to take aim at both CEOs and tech companies. In 2020, he signed an executive order that was meant to limit the legal protections that shield social media companies from liability for the content users post on their platforms. President Biden revoked that executive order in May.

And so it is another attention-grab attempt by the Narcissist Borealis.

Axios, without guile adds their coda to the end of the piece, when really it should be at the top:

Between the lines: Trump has often sued people in the course of his career, but rarely actually followed through in terms of winning a judgment or even taking cases to trial.

What to watch: Lawsuits and actions targeting Big Tech platforms serve as ammunition for Trump’s conservative base. Down-ballot Republican candidates have latched onto messages around censorship as part of their campaigns and messaging tactics.

Actually what you should watch is how long before Trump drops it like a hot rock, bored and impatient. But look for MAGA to take it on as another 3-word chant at the Reichstaag rallies.

Judge: “Let me see… hmmm, Terms of Service… uh-huh… mmm-hmm… okay, you agreed to these when you created your accounts. You violated them. Case dismissed.”

    • Justice Kegstand, writing for the majority: “We hold in Trump v Everybody that the First Amendment doesn’t only apply to the Government, but to anyone we don’t like. This decision in favor of Trump v. Social Media is only binding on conservative opinions. This Court holds that simply declaring open season on so-called “liberals”, “wokes” , minorities and other sub-human American subjects will be a sufficient remedy”

Then he hauls out his AR-15 and guns down Sotomayor, Breyer, Kagan and Barret.

*”Oops, sorry! My bad! She was a chick, so I just naturally kept going.”

When Hearst didn’t like what the newspapers said about him, he bought his own newspaper. Isn’t that how the ‘free market’ of ideas is supposed to work, at least for billionaires? TFG keeps proving himself to be the world’s biggliest laughable failure ever.

Wouldn’t you know it – the nonprofit (in theory) America First Policy Institute website has a big red DONATE button. Of course it does.

  4. He obviously doesn’t understand that private companies don’t have to abide by the Constitution. They can make their own rules. Their turf, their rules. Of course, this is even about that. it’s about keeping Trump in the news.
