I still have it somewhere, I think. Harry is the best, just hands-down she rules.

Saw Blondie a couple of year ago, Debbie in her early 70s. And damn, I’m still in my teens when I look at her and watch her perform.
She will always be a marker.

I remembering going to see American Gigolo, and at the very first strum of the guitar, turning to my (fellow underaged) friend and we both agreed: something just changed in pop.

Perhaps I was not clear. i am totally middle aged, but seeing her live, see her perform, Goddamn, I was a in my teenage years once again. She aged well.
Or whatever. Interpret as you like.

She isn’t the only classy dame to have a birthday today. I went and visited my Grandma today for her one hundred first. I hope Handsome Joe comes through with the birthday card, she didn’t want one from TFG.

One of my all-time favorite videos is a 1979 performance by Blondie at Glascow’s Apollo Theatre. The version of Sunday Girl is a special treat.

Who but Debbie Harry could pull off stripes and plaid so well?

I had such a crush on Debbie Harry back in the 70s/80s.
