The Madness Continues

Just whip ’em out an measure ’em, boys.

It keeps happening:

The shooting happened Monday afternoon at the Big Bear grocery store along Candler Road, across the street from South DeKalb Mall…

…The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the cashier told Victor Lee Tucker, Jr., 30, of Palmetto, to put on a mask and that’s when the chaos unfolded.

“Tucker left the store without making his purchase, but immediately returned inside. Tucker walked directly back to the cashier, pulled out a handgun and shot her,” the GBI said in a news release.

The cashier was killed, the store security guard shot Tucker, who shot him back. So, final score: 1 dead, 2 injured in hospital (and a third person was treated on the spot); so in an instant 4 lives changed.

During the Trump-Virus restrictions, sheltering in place and whatnot, gun violence was down and now it’s back. We thought that working in retail during the worst of the Pandemic was worthy of hazard pay, but the job seems even more dangerous now that red-state Republicans in their wisdom are removing all gun restrictions.

It’s all random. You cannot predict when/where/why some dude will decide to shoot someone. They do it because they can, and it is apparently the policy of the United States to let it happen, and there is no political will to put an end to the madness.

  1. We don’t worship “God” in any form in this country, just “Gun” who demands ever-increasing human sacrifices..

Polite society, defense of self or others, good guys with guns, just enforce existing laws, crisis actors, it’s too soon to talk about regulations, most people never have to use them, freedom, hunting, 2nd Amemndmemt, frying bacon, fun for the whole family, cc permit, thoughts & prayers, law & order.
Every single day is “The Lottery.”

Yeah- but all of those gun worshiping assholes are looking for the day to be “The Purge”. Be careful out there. We are surrounded by crazies.

An ammosexual in the old neighborhood has this on every email:

An armed society is a polite society.

Victor Lee Tucker Jr. seems a bit rude.

Holy sh-t. Shootings always suck the spirit from me. This story is hitting me hard; this morning, I went into my beloved thrift store for the first time since March 2020. The volunteers are older than I am, bless them, and they want people masked, and also mask themselves. I’m happy to mask, and was enjoying people and things thoroughly, when a young-ish man came walking through. A cashier told him they have free cloth or disposable masks to give, but he must wear one. He stood there and argued with her, then said he’d just leave but was going to report them to law enforcement. All we really thought was geez, what an a—–e. Around 10 minutes later here comes a woman, unmasked, who wasn’t as confrontational; she offered to show her vacc. card, and waved some cash, but ended up leaving rather than putting on a mask. So, geez, sorry again, but how hard is it? Now I read this, and I’m pretty spooked, sort of like whenever I dropped the kid at school for several days after a shooting. sigh
