Carrots and Sticks for Manchin

“For ME?!”
Joe Manchin’s demands must be met!

Well, this puts Coal’s Best Friend Sen. Joe Manchin in a funny place:

UMWA reiterates support of the “For the People” Act

[TRIANGLE, VA.] The United Mine Workers of America today reiterated its support for Senate Bill (SB) 1, the “For the People Act,” and renewed its call for its passage in the United States Senate.

Needless to say the UMWA are one of Manchin’s biggest backers. I don’t pretend to know if the UMWA endorsement will made a difference, but Manchin must have noticed it. There’s a world of difference between getting Koch money and getting votes; Manchin must be doing the calculus.

They first came out and said this a week or so ago, so now, they’re reiterating it. The UMW may have fewer members at the moment, but they still have a lotta clout.Enough to swing an election, I’ll betcha.

I think you mistakenly meandered into this minefield missing your map, and now it’s going, “Surprise!…….Surprise!…..”

Taking advice from Coal Miners is one thing. Taking advice from coal mine owners is completely different.

While “Koch money” is mixed in surely, a reliable voice which I saw added that the crux bribe comes from US Chamber of Commerce lobbyists of which Main Street donating proprietors operate uninformed. Manchin’s meager morality dissolved in a paltry $2,000,000, records show investigators, beside a severed ass head, (not shown).
