It Was Too Beautiful to Last

Trump blog page is permanently shut down

FormerPresident Trump’s blog, where he shared statements with supporters after being banned from social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, has been shut down.

Trump launched the website, dubbed “From the Desk of Donald Trump,” last month to communicate with supporters. The site now only allows users to submit their email addresses and phone numbers to sign up for updates from the former president.

But wait! Let’s see what Lord Damp Nut’s extraordinarily fertile child-support payment dodger and campaign aid, Jason Miller has to say:

Trump senior aide Jason Miller confirmed to The Hill that the blog will not be returning, calling it “auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on.”

In other words, grifting Ameros from the Rubes.

UPDATE 1 (already!): The WaPo

An adviser told the Washington Post that former President Trump wanted to open a new “platform” and didn’t like that this platform was being mocked and had so few readers.

Told you guys: mocking the short-fingered vulgarian works.

Obviously, the 2024 Campaign Administrators discovered that they stole the people’s email address signing up for TFG’S blog from someplace else. Let’s not tell them they’ve peaked.

  6. Trump thought there was a reward to blogging besides the friends you make along the way? He might have gotten more engagement if he allowed comments, maybe had some graphic features, and just took more time to not make his blog all about him and his delusions. He could have offered cogent political insight laced with humor or….

I kid. The thing that made his blog better than his presidency though is he knew when to wrap it up.
