Media Searched For Radical Center, Tries To Create Movement, Fails Because: D’uh

Now try getting out of the tree.

Our Failed Political Press ™ is breathlessly reporting that there is a move afoot to break up the Republican Party… from Republicans!

‘Rationals’ vs. ‘radicals’: Anti-Trump Republicans threaten third party

and…

And you don’t have to read more than the second headline before you see that this is all BS: former officials.

Look, this “movement” isn’t going to go anywhere.  No currently elected Republican is going to join the movement. Watch Liz Cheney if you think otherwise.

Our Failed Political Press ™ cannot let the Rudderless Republicans sink into civil war and go publicly bonkers defending a mango-hued carnival barker.

Republicans going into the Q-Spiracy destroys their Both Sides framing, and then they might have to examine their own role in propping them up.

Our FPP has been wrong about the Republicans since at least the Saint Ronnie period, and they are wrong again today; if your job requires you to sagely stroke your chin and pontificate and you always get it wrong, you and I would be fired on the spot. But these mugs just bounce around the circuit.

I was thinking I should watch the Cheney’s for any sudden moves out of the country.
If traditional Rs want to “save democracy” they would be willing step up, divide from the new GQP, and accept losing a few elections… ooooh. See, hope is a deceiver.

Not if, as I am increasingly convinced, it’s the job to be always wrong. They provide the soothing pablum to cover the taste of the poison their bosses are injecting into the body politic.

    They’re all Baghdad Bobs in a way…

Why do you think a sex creep like mark halperin is so desperate to rejoin the worthless beltway media when rational adults would fade away in his case? Wingnut welfare always pays and it pays out bonuses to those who actively engage in tiresome but ‘sloppy’ bothsiderist journalism.

Hey, but there are a hundred of them. A HUNDRED!!! By next month there may be a hundred and twenty! At that rate, the 70,000,000 Republicans who voted for Trump will have all switched over by the year 293,000.

How about calling it the Stopgap Party since it’s only going to last as long as TFG does. Also, will this new party have a platform, and will they be willing to negotiate?

Mayhap they should join forces with the Green Party, that’d be fun to watch. They can’t use the Red Party, Joe McCarthy saw to that.
