Oh, man, Japan is so cool.
Now that’s what I call art.

My first thought was “former Benihana chefs who lost their jobs due to the pandemic”.

I like their tongs, and the hats seem like a Really Good idea considering the way they are flinging some of that litter around.
That looks like a workout, too, but I wonder if their aim of cleaning up the streets with Art would backfire in a Western(T) city.
They are very entertaining, but I prefer a harder edge.
what i love is the people walking past them are ‘eh, no big deal’.
They are no Zatoichi
Why are they wearing trilbys? Don’t they know that’s a meme?
Are you kidding me? Would you go bare headed into a situation with litter and trash flying overhead at every opportunity? They’ll need to stop and get lunch sometime, and an umbrella isn’t going to cut it with that level of activity
A jingasa would do a better job,
So it isn’t the hats per se you object to, it’s the exploitation of a meme.
Very cool, but I think it’s all staged.
The Japanese are insanely obedient people and I can’t imagine that much litter being around.
When I was there in 1971 I saw people wearing surgical masks outside.
I learned that if you are feeling ill, you wear a mask so not to infect others.
this is great! But I am awful and would would litter just to watch them pick it up
Owl – And I would stand next to you to watch.
