How the GOP convinced us that they are The Party of Law and Order is questioned again as yet another Coup Klux Klan’er is arrested for letting the insurrectionists in the Capitol building… in Oregon:
An Oregon lawmaker who let violent far-right demonstrators into the state Capitol during a Dec. 21 special session was criminally charged on Friday with first-degree official misconduct and second-degree criminal trespass.
Rep. Mike Nearman, R-Independence, was caught on security videos opening a door and allowing demonstrators to enter the building. He had been under investigation since at least January for enabling the breach.
They got Nearman on camera:
There’s no question that he did it, they’ve got him dead to rights.
It’s amazing, innit, that people keep voting for politicians who clearly hate the gubmint, and maybe more importantly, hate (little dee) democracy. Republicans would gladly burn it all to the ground for a dictatorship and/or theocracy.
