Wrong-Again Rudy Gets Searched (Oh, Gross)

H/T Scissorhead DCap

The NYTimes tells us that Lord Damp Nut’s Stupidest Lawyer™ Rudy Giuliani might be in a little trouble:

Federal investigators in Manhattan executed a search warrant at the Upper East Side apartment of Rudy Giuliani…

Executing a search warrant is an extraordinary move for prosecutors to take against a lawyer, let alone a lawyer for a former president, and it marks a major turning point in the long-running investigation into Mr. Giuliani.

While the warrant is not an explicit accusation of wrongdoing against Mr. Giuliani, it shows that the investigation has entered an aggressive new phase. To obtain a search warrant, investigators need to persuade a judge they have sufficient reason to believe that a crime was committed and that the search would turn up evidence of the crime.

I don’t want to think about what they might find (Borat outtakes). Also, this probably squashes his son Andrew’s gubernatorial ambitions. Heh.

    • And further down in the article:

F.B.I. agents also executed a search warrant on Wednesday morning at the Washington-area home of Victoria Toensing, a lawyer close to Mr. Giuliani who had dealings with several Ukrainians involved in seeking negative information on the Bidens, according to people with knowledge of that warrant. The warrant was for her telephone.

I hope LDN is still on at least simmer, but I would love to see the heat turned up to at least “sizzle”. I, for one, still hold out hope for LDN stroking out. And as we all know:

TFG says he thinks he may have met Giuliani once or twice but doesn’t really know him.
