Liberals warn Biden against lengthy talks with GOP
“We’re gonna move forward rapidly” on an infrastructure bill, Sen. Bernie Sanders vowed. “They have something to say? Now is the time to say it.”
I’m with Bernie on this. The GQP is death by inertia and a thousand nibbles. The GQP doesn’t want a bipartisan bill, they want no bill. They are not negotiating in good faith, and I wish that our Failed Political Press™ would quit trying to project reasonableness on the party of insurrection.
Both Axios and the NYT are reporting this as a blurb without detail, but i’m curious as to who are the republicans that sen. hickenlooper claims are fully supporting handsome joe’s current infrastructure bill.

R White –
It’s what I keep saying about Manchin who wants bipartisan bills too: name the 10 that will come along, otherwise he is just waiting everyone’s time.
I don’t think that they exist. If they wouldn’t come along on the urgent Trump-Virus relief bill, they will not come along on this. It’s all Kabuki theater and everyone knows it.

I wish it was Kabuki, it would be a lot more interesting. This reminds me more of people walking on their knees over cobblestones to get to church. This could be done without all the pain and posturing, but they like their little games.
ps. More on Kabuki

“…people walking on their knees over cobblestones to get to church.”
Hey, Pharmakeus Ubik, you mean like this?

Revzafod, you’ve exemplified it almost entirely, only the cobblestones are missing. Did very much resemble a visit to Merde-a-Lardo by DeSantis and Miss Lindsey.

Talk with the GQP?
How about a monologue, like, say “Get the fuck out of the way.”

I’m with you on the press, but I think Biden has to make the effort—for his personal credo and to protect Dems in red states. Then with a clear mandate from the public—as we’ve recently seen—he’ll move ahead with a big bill.
I think he’s way ahead of Bernie where it matters: knowing how and when to get things done.

“Death By a Thousand Cuts.” Paper cuts , that is. How many pages does THIS monstrous, voluminous, pork-filled, slow-acting, “Every Librul’s Wish List,” contain?
And don’t forget – red tape is not of any use, when it comes to binding those types of wounds, as the color itself is a “dead give-away,” and it’s not even meant for that use.
