Now try getting out of the tree.
The Coup Klux Klan is whinging that the Jobs/Infrastructure bill isn’t bipartisan, but, you know, they have not made any counter-proposals:
Republicans struggle to craft counteroffer to Biden’s $2 trillion jobs plan
So you see, they don’t have a proposal, but they have a price tag of about $600—$800B Ameros,. The current proposal from President Handsome Joe Biden is about $2.4T Ameroes, so you can see that they are (cough) serious when they suggest cutting the Jobs Bill between 66%—75%.
I love the subhead on the article: “‘We’re working on that right now. We haven’t made consensus on it,’ says Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, a point person for her party on the issue.”
Sure they are.
They’ll have the counter-proposal in 2 weeks, along with their plan for replacing Obamacare, 2 weeks I guarantee.

We’ve been hearing that tired old song for how many Friedman Units now?

We should be seeing the GQP’s proposal for more tax cuts for the Kochs any day now. We all know tax cuts solve everything.

Only tax cuts for the rich. Tax cuts for anyone middle class or lower on the money chain are socialism.

Seems to me the Rethug’s cut back Obama’s stimulus package to the point that it barely had any effect. It is good of Biden to remember that. He has to get the big stuff done, and no Rethug whining can be allowed to stop it.

Well, it had some effect, but not the big effect that everyone wanted. And remember: the GOP shoe-horned in tax cuts to that bill, too.
Eff’ers.

If I remember correctly, the Goopers demanded tax cuts in Obama’s stimulus package. A straight-up stimulus would have been significantly more effective.

Their proposals are the same as their platform. Nonexistent. I blame the winds of change blowing their policies out of the water.
