If You Don’t Go Big, Go Home

One Lump of Stupid or Two?

The NRCC learned from their master how to scam the rubes:

…and the rubes will sign up.  All that’s missing is a gun and the words, “pay-up.” What is not known is if Lord Damp Nut gets to skim the cream off the top as a branding fee.

But it does solve the credit card fraud complaints, so there’s that.

  1. It’s worse, there are like two more of those pre-checked boxes. But I gotta say ‘We’ll tell Dear Leader you are a defector’ is is so on-brand for LDN and the GQP…just beware of strange women spritzing you in the face…

I’m surprised they don’t push a “think of it as tithing” angle, since Hey-sooss and tRump are pretty much equally worshipable to the true believers.

“Mr Trump, Faye Nicholson of East Cousinbang, West Virginia is a DEFECTOR!”

Christ, what kind of dipshit would fall for this?

One of my parents’ elderly friends really thought that those auto-signed fundraising mails were personally signed, and used to reply with long letters “discussing issues” raised, along with a check. He really thought he had a personal relationship with whomever the pol was.

It’s preying on the weak (I think), and it makes me furious. I could easily see my folks getting confused by this (if they were still around), because they did know some of the pols that pulled these stunts.

Preying on the week (or day) is more apt. The people running the operation have no regard for the rubes they fleece, it would take a sentient compassionate human being to see the wrongness of it all. Not surprised or shocked, the GQP has for years dangled out cultural fictions to scare their voters, but offer nothing in regards to making their lives better…

Reminds me of the National Lampoon cover, from way back when, that had a picture of a dog with a gun to its head and the caption said “Buy this magazine or we shoot the dog.”
