GA’s Jim Crow Laws, Part Deux

Chain-link stupid

Guys remember this morning when we learned about the new voter suppression laws that Georgeduh passed?

Guess what? They are being sued already!:

“Georgia’s elections chief was sued by a group of nonprofit civic organizations that claim a new voting law signed Thursday by the state’s Republican governor will make it harder for minorities to cast ballots.”

“The lawsuit, against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, is one of the first challenges to a wave of voting restrictions taking shape in state legislatures across the country. It was filed late Thursday, right after the law passed, by groups including the New Georgia Project and the Black Voters Matter Fund.”

And as we speak, SCROTUS Chief Just-Ass Roberts is salivating at the prospect of finishing off voting rights for good.

Well, his so-called ‘legacy of the court’ that he wants to leave behind will be shit. But since most ‘muricans cannot correctly name the separation of the three entities of government, such legislative shenanigans only really matter to us liberal political junkies.

Gerrymandering wasn’t enough? Now they’re consciously repressing the votes of anyone who won’t vote for them. Towards what end? An authoritarian form of governance that maintains Trump was chosen by God to rule, or that Bill Gates put microchips in the vaccines, or that the world is run a cabal of cannabilistic pedophiles. These people aren’t just bigoted, suspicious of their Democratic brethren and sisteren, prone to violent outbursts, no they’ve lost their humanity. They’re insane…

Coke & Delta would be wise to finally act on their long-held threat of relocating away from the regressive south…

Marc Elias is the Democratic champion lawyer who led the battle against the post-election crap in the swing states, winning all cases but one. And he’s already filing against the new ones. He’s incredible.

I am assuming the ACLU will jump on this, as well. There’s so much in this that seems unconstitutional. How can you ban giving people water and snacks? These fuckers are fucking fuckers.

    Coca-Cola, Delta, Turner Broadcasting, PGA/LPGA, NASCAR …

Footnote in passing: I saw somewhere this morning or maybe last night where though the season doesn’t start (if it does) for another month potential MLB awardees are already insisting they’ll not play the All Star Game there.
