Thoughts and Prayers and Fundraising

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert’s campaign sent ‘hell no to taking our guns’ email hours after Boulder shooting

It was, of course, a fund-raising letter.

As the nation mourned its second mass shooting within a week on Tuesday, a Colorado Republican drew backlash for appearing to use the tragedy as a fundraising opportunity.

Two hours after a gunman fatally shot 10 people in a Boulder grocery store, Rep. Lauren Boebert’s campaign sent supporters an email with the subject line “I told Beto ‘HELL NO’ to taking our guns. Now we need to tell Joe Biden.”

Because it is always too soon to talk about gun legislation —time to grieve and all that— but it is NEVER too soon to raise money from the gundamentalists and ammosexuals:

The NRA was nearly as gross as Boebert, as they didn’t miss a shot:

And I would be remiss if I didn’t note that Boebert is a representative from Colorado where this latest domestic terrorism happened and 10 of her fellow Coloradans were murdered. By guns.

As for Boebert, I can’t get over the idea that she looks like she is a teenager trying to do Mom’s job for a day, and is failing badly at it.
Did she run against a dead person to get elected?

No, she beat the incumbent Republican, Scott Tipton in the primary and ran against a well qualified Democrat, Dian Mitsch Bush in the general. With the single exception of my county, western Colorado voted for this trailer trash moron. Gun, oil and gas drilling, and freedom – Hell yeah!

I’m thinking that the GQP in toto is a collection of paranoid individualists. Apparently it takes little to get them into a frenzy. Proposing sensible gun control legislation seems to do it every time, or cancel culture, or just telling them to shut up. The reality is that we shouldn’t allow guns to fall into the hands of disturbed individuals, and we shouldn’t allow weapons of war on the streets anytime ever, or high capacity clips. The wording of the Second Amendment was to allow the states the ability to raise forces to defend the state. The national guard takes on that roll and has for some time. The 2nd was never intended to allow individuals to obtain weapons of war to soothe the paranoid. If the founders could have seen the weapons now available for purchase, they may have expressly limited gun ownership to include flintlocks. A skilled flintlock shooter can maybe manage two shots per minute. Some of the weapons now available can shoot 400 shots per minute…

“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
SO – when are all these gun nuts gonna join the National Guard, to become part of the “well regulated militia” we need?

Your gun is dirty Ramboboert, clean it clean it clean it, “Lather, rinse, repeat”, get those blood stains off!!! You did make sure the chamber was empty, didn’t you? Would be a shame for it to go off accidentally.

Klannie Oakley seems to have a real talent for monetizing this fetish. Maybe she can do some community service along with the judge who ruled against the assault weapons ban that may have prevented this most recent slaughter of the innocents. Let them dig the graves of the dead.

One of those 10 Coloradans was a police officer. Who by the way was outgunned. Funny how that doesn’t seem to make any difference with the ammosexuals either.

MAGAts holler “Back the Blue” and thump their Bibles, but they don’t take either one seriously.
