Mediocrates seems OK. I’ll meet you 1/4 of the way there. shrug

[‘Strine accent]“I dunno Bruce, ‘Ow much does he drink?”
…once upon a time I knew the entire Philosopher’s Song by heart….damned near wore out my Matching Tie and Handkerchief album doing it, too…
I could remember all except the first two lines of the second verse. I forget , though – was that on the side with one groove or two?
IIRC it was the the one-groove side. I still have it around here somewhere, but then I’d also have to find my turntable, which is also packed away in a box somewhere.
I still have my vinyl copy packed away. A few years ago, I got a turntable that had a USB plug and software that lets me connect the turntable to a PC and download all my vinyl to MP3 files. I can then either store or sell the old LPs. It also connects to a regular audio amp.
The turntable I have that matches the stereo is packed away because the dust cover is in pieces and replacements aren’t available.
Lettuce not forget Mediocrates’ constant companion Moronicus…
“Throughout the history of man, only a select few philosophers have formed the foundation of modern thought. And then you also have guys like Moronicus.”—Oscar Wilde
