Mr. Benghazi Gets Another Gig

Nothin’ goin’ on around here.

Is this a cruel joke from Tiger Beat’s email thingie this morning?

Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) will join the Government Accountability Institute as a distinguished fellow.

I suppose distinguished could mean many things.

  1. The Government Accountability Institute is a conservative think-tank located in Tallahassee, Florida. GAI was founded in 2012 by Peter Schweizer and Steve Bannon with funding from Robert Mercer and family.

    So, another “Threeshirts” Bannon grift…

Thanks BDR, I fell for the tricky name; I should have remembered the cynical ol’ “Blue Skies” bill that actually increased air pollution.

      Republican, bruh, amirite?

But when you talk about destruction, Don’t you know that you can count me out (innnnnn). Always loved the Beatles, and still believe they were the most influential band maybe for all times. And yes, the revolution such as it was (01/06) was televised, videoed, and recorded on numerous platforms, and such evidence is being utilized in the prosecution of the dim bulbed insurrectionists (little did they know they were evidencing their own convictions)…

And to his one time credit Mr. Chaffetz withdrew his endorsement for then candidate Trump (post Hollywood Access Tape release) with good reason claiming that doing so would be a stressor to his fifteen year old daughter which is an honorable thing, but two weeks later came out pro Trump the daughter be damned. So why did Mr. Chaffetz do a one 180? Well Hillary had emails or something, and staying in the good graces of the leading insurrectionist was potentially useful. As events played out, it was a poorly calculated risk, but then hindsight is always 20/20, or he could have asked a liberal…

    “Distinguished” as in “very different”

The Government Accountability Institute (GAI) is “a new conservative investigative research organization,” according to the Washington Post in 2012.[1] The GAI states its mission as being “to investigate and expose crony capitalism, misuse of taxpayer monies, and other governmental corruption or malfeasance.”[2]

The GAI has several ties to right-wing groups such as Citizens United,, the American Conservative Union, the Young America’s Foundation, and the Hoover Institution, through its key staff and board members:

What would a bubba do if it weren’t for racial privilege and Cockbros-funded sinecures at right-wing stink tanks.
