We are all going to be held hostage by the neanderthals:
“While other groups have also been wary about the shots, for instance, communities of color, polling shows that hesitancy has started to wane while GOP resistance to the vaccines remains relatively high. A Kaiser Family Foundation poll released last month found that 28 percent of Republicans said they would “definitely not” get vaccinated, and another 18 percent said they would ‘wait and see’ before getting a shot.”
“As a result, millions of Republicans could remain unvaccinated, a potential roadblock to efforts to achieve the high levels of immunity needed to stop the virus in the United States — an irony that isn’t lost on Trump officials who worked to end the pandemic.”
It’s what they do. Take hostages. They guzzle fish tank cleaner, but a vaccine? SLOW DOWN THERE, KEITH RICHARDS!!1!
Of course the upside is that those who refuse vaccination are in the more likely to get and spread category. There is a certain poetic justice to that if not real justice in thinning the GQP herd. Personally I believe that If you refuse to get vaccinated, then your health insurance company should be able to drop your coverage…

Yes- taking hostages- it’s what they do. But unlike your average plane highjacking or bank robbing hostage takers- they won’t let us go even if they get their way. Doesn’t it seem that they WANT to burn it all down? It does to me and I think that is because, somewhere deep inside themselves, they fucking know that they are wrong about most everything and instead of changing for the benefit of all, they would rather die and take everyone they can with them.
And this is why you can NOT deal with them in good faith. They have none.

Please stop insulting real Neanderthals.
I’m fairly sure that full-on Neanderthals never got vaccinations because, back before the Cro-Magnon crowded them out (that’s being kind, there was probably more blood than that makes it sound like), there weren’t any vaccines.

There are degrees of “assimilation”, inter-breeding being but one.

Like “there’s blood and then there’s blood“?
Agreed. f “primitive”.

That tag on the end was “Which contestant was more primitive depends on your definition”.
Thought I erased it, but might as well put it back since it left a footprint.

Life our afarensis (Australopithecine) ancestors, our swarthy knuckle-dragging Cro-Magnon southern invader ancestors would eat anything. ‘Course, given the circumstances …

But that isn’t how interbreeding actuallyworks, although it could be the appetizer.

1) Haven’t we heard enough of their tough talk to realize it’s just that? Some of them will come around, especially after “wait-and-see”. They are all just a bunch of chicken-shit posers.
2) If #1 is incorrect we are boned, since these brainiacs will become a big old covid mutation petri dish.
When the vertebrae don’t reach the brain stem it might be time for forced vaccinations. Like no entry, or job or shunning to those that don’t vaccinate.

Well need to tattoo a big red”C” on their forehead so we know who’s in the running for a Darwin Award.
Wear a mask, get a shot or get a tattoo. Your choice.

We are so happy to finally get vaccine! If it was just us, we would probably wait. But because we live in a beautiful place and have colorful local ways, we get lots of visitors. It is nice to see them.
We ask you continue to wear masks! Come here, look at the country, have a spiritual experience, whatever. We will feed you and give you a bed. We will take the money and use it to pay off the various Politicians.
When you come here, it is better to still wear a mask. Vaccine.

May I suggest a new rule? You can’t vote in person unless you’ve been vaccinated.

The American Catholic Bishops are telling American Catholics not to get vaccinated because the vaccines are “morally compromised” because they were made with stem-cells from abortions from … wait … the 70’s & the 80’s! Forty-fifty years ago!
My sister (who is an RN) was telling me that she didn’t think she was going to get one. I hadn’t heard of the bishop’s BS yet but now I get it. She routinely says that Biden is a “fake Catholic” because of his views on abortion. Like there’s only ONE way to be Catholic.
I have other family members who have gotten the vaccine & of course, THE POPE has gotten one.

I’m actually a bit worried about the Catholics running the country the way they are, with their loyalties to the Pope and the Vatican first and civil commitments second.

Queen – I had a chat with a friend who works for the Catholic Church, who said in no uncertain terms that those bishops were rogue and on their own, it is not the Pope’s policy and in fact he ordered everyone to be vaccinated.
It’s also not a surprise that they were in Red States.
I’m kinda amazed: if a CEO had made that decree and some VPs bucked his orders, they would be sent packing. I don’t understand how the hierarchy of a company could be more absolute than the hierarchy of the Catholic Church.
Go figure.
