Q-Prom day is a big news day for the Stupid Coup Insurrectionists, as the Daily Beast informs us:

‘It’s Not Fair!’: Rioter Who Posed at Pelosi’s Desk Loses It in Court

The self-described white nationalist who stormed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and posed for gleeful photos during the Capitol riot doesn’t believe he should be in jail—and he’s had a temper tantrum in court to make his opinion known.

“They’re dragging this out. They’re letting everyone else out,” Richard “Bigo” Barnett yelled during his Thursday court hearing, insisting that “it’s not fair” that he is still in jail while a slew of his fellow rioters have been released pending trial.

Snowflake haz a sad?

“They can’t keep pushing me out month by month!” he yelled, pleading that he does not want to remain in a D.C. prison for “another month” while others are “already home.”

Barnett’s outburst was futile. After a five-minute recess, his lawyers told the judge they intended to file a new bail motion. The judge said he would rule on whether to release Barnett after that is filed, then abruptly ending the hearing. His next court date is May 4.

Which if my math is correct (always a dubious prospect) is two months from today. Heh

Federal prosecutor Neama Rahman told The Daily Beast on Thursday that prosecutors prefer to keep accused criminals in custody pending trial but most of the Capitol riot participants have been released on bond because they’re not “a risk of flight or a danger to the community.”

Wait. What?

Prosecutors thought that white nationalists who converged on the Capitol to kill representatives are NOT dangerous?

But in Barnett’s case, he was seen carrying a weapon into the Capitol, so it could be argued that he is dangerous.

Anyway, this jerk is going to be in cooler a while longer, and who knows, he might end up with a change of address ultimately.

I hate to get stuck in a paranoia morass, but was wondering if the prosecutors are showing the videos used during the impeachment. Seems like not every judge would have seen them. Should be required viewing…

… Barnett, who unloaded on Thursday about how “everyone else who did things much worse are already home” …

At least he is admitting bad behavior, just won’t admit it went from bad to worse.

Did he whine about being treated like a terrorist?

I think if he was sentenced to licking off the scuff marks he left on Nancy’s desk, and then re-varnishing it with his tongue, the lesson just might stick with him for a while. If not ever.

It’s not like they actually got to kill Speaker Pelosi, Vice-President Pence and Minority-leader Schumer. It’s not like they actually kidnapped and tortured AOC and Ihlan Omar. So, no harm, no foul. Can’t they take a joke, boys-being-boys, economic insecurity, amiright?
