The future looks troubling; on the other hand…
Looks like BoBo was double-dipping and didn’t disclose:
Facebook Helped Fund David Brooks’s Second Job. Nobody Told The Readers Of The New York Times.
The New York Times columnist has been using his perch to promote the Weave Project — without disclosing his potential conflicts of interest to his readers.
So the Times’ cheating-on-his-wife morality scold is also grifting on the side? I’m shocked.
Come now, “grifting” is such an undignified way of describing it…this is the Aspen Institute, only the crustiest of the upper crust get sweet sweet gigs there.
He is ‘alt-earning Ameros’ and every cheque (you know it’s high class because they used the ‘q’ version of the word!) is lovingly hand-inscribed with a flowery, almost inscrutable quote from some highly intellectual philosopher or social scientist that justifies and supports Bobo’s betê noir of the week.
Invariably the quote is taken wildly out of context, doesn’t actually support the argument Bobo is making and in fact the entire work, nay usually the entire corpus of the original author’s work generally disproves the point, but it warms Bobo’s sensitive soul down to the very cockles of his
heartbank account.LikeLiked by 2 people
The only people that continue reading the slop-ed pages of the grey lady are the inbred wealthy who when they are not considered the “masters of the universe” by touting the obscure works of Edmund Burke, are really insecure upper east-side shut-ins who have no idea how the real world works. Such a group with a childlike understanding of things are ripe for the taking. The only surprise is that it took a hack like Brooks this long to engage in such nefarious behavior that is now considered the norm by everyone within his beloved morally bankrupt republican cult.

You mean DFB’s been indulging in his Whig fan fiction fetish in two places at once? Color me completely, utterly, and shockingly surprised.
