The federal prosecutor who strategic hire AG Bill ‘Low’ Barr assigned to investigate possible criminal wrongdoing in Robert Mueller’s Little Kremlin-on-the-Potomac probe, John Durham announced he was resigning, but he’ll continue on as special counsel in the investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe. Because we cannot waste enough money on a snipe hunt, that’s why.
I don’t get it. Isn’t that kinda like resigning as manager of the apartment building but keeping the keys?

Howdy y’all!
Might Durham being staying on as special counsel to make sure the probe is done right and fairly and thus ensuring that nothing is found? I guess there’s no danger of Merrick Garland appointing a political hack who would just make up evidence to support the conclusion that the probe was mandated to find, but there has to be a reason why Durham accepted the appointment, stayed on, didn’t release his “damning” report before the election as directed, and now staying on in spite of resigning his prosecutor’s position, right?
Huzzah!

There is probably a reason. For some value of “reason”.
