There’s no DeJoy in my heart:
Postmaster General DeJoy apologizes for ‘unacceptable’ mail delays during holidays
“Postmaster General Louis DeJoy on Wednesday offered a sobering review of the mail agency’s finances and performance capabilities but reaffirmed his intention to overhaul the agency and remain at its helm, telling one Democratic lawmaker: “Get used to me.”
Here we go:
“Despite DeJoy’s deep unpopularity among Democrats, the incoming Biden administration has been unable to replace him. That power lies with the Postal Service’s governing board — whose six sitting members were all appointed by President Donald Trump as a result of a Republican-controlled Senate blocking a slate of President Barack Obama’s nominees.
As a result, Democrats and influential mail union leaders have publicly pressured President Joe Biden to appoint new governors, who would need Senate approval. Last week, more than 70 congressional Democrats urged Biden to nominate new governors “as expeditiously as possible” to “seriously consider whether the current Postmaster General is suitable to continue in his role.”
And in a related story:
Biden expected to diversify USPS board, cement Democrats’ oversight with appointments
“Biden intends to appoint Ron Stroman, Anton Hajjar and Amber McReynolds to the three seats that remain open and cement Democratic oversight of the agency, according to two sources familiar with the president’s thinking. The selections would come after Postmaster General Louis DeJoy and the agency received criticism for late delivery and accusations of election mail interference.
“The expected appointments, which would be two men of color (Stroman and Hajjar) and a woman (McReynolds), would greatly diversify the board.
“The current board is made up of six white men, and all have limited experience with the Postal Service. In contrast, Stroman is a former deputy postmaster general, and Hajjar is the former general counsel for American Postal Workers Union. McReynolds was the CEO of the National Vote at Home Institute and Coalition and former director of elections for Denver.”
Get control of the board and get rid of the freak. ASAP, special delivery, whatever it takes.
And indict his criminal ass! I have NO DOUBT he’s committed both election finance crimes, postal interference crimes, and electoral interference crimes. THROW THE EFFING BOOK AT HIM! He’s a criminal.

Prosecution and conviction might get him pried out of that cushy office.

Hey! Congress, while you’re at it, maybe pass a bill that eliminates this imbroglio? I would suggest making the Postmaster General position one that is selected. By the House. Screw the Senate, they keep reminding us of what non-ambulatory gum-chewers they are, but go ahead and have the BoG suggest who they would like to see, and why.
But these assholes best keep in mind how much America ♥s its USPS.

There is an alternative perhaps he and the six should consider.
Hell’s Belles, everyone should consider.
One of my favorite tattoos is an old wobblie cat, a black cat on a blood moon, dates back a hundred years or so to the Industrial Workers of the World and the unionization movement of the time, and for a while my avatar in blogspot. Still turns up every now and then. Back then (100yrs ago), if you were a mill foreman or a woods-boss, or any number of ass-kissing flunkies that don’t actually do the work and you woke one morning to find a wobblie cat nailed to your door it meant you were leaving town; that one way or another you would be out of town by sundown. Possibly tarred and feathered, and rode on a rail; possibly at the end of a rope. It was a fair choice. [Kesey, Notion]
If they don’t step aside, move them.

Thanks to the last occupant of the White House, acting personnel are a thing.
Just go ahead and fire the 6 Rethugs from the Board, and appoint acting governors if the Senate won’t co-operate, then fire DeJoy and appoint an acting Postmaster General. What’s the problem?

I think the USPS Bd. of Govs can only be fired for cause, but IMO sufficient “cause” exists to fire them because of his election fuckery and the fact that there had to be an injunction laid against him to get the mail-in ballots in (mostly) on time. They sat back and let it happen. Of course, they were all Trump whores, but there’s a new sheriff in town, etc.

There are people who suspect DeJoy committed election fraud by having subordinates make campaign contributions which he reimbursed. It’s what got D’Vorce D’Spousa his criminal record. Crank up a grand jury, indict, convict, and send him to the Big House.
