Exciting News From Captain Stupid!
This was totally predictable, and it is totally predictable it would be Steve Schmidt out first:
Scoop: Lincoln Project co-founder resigns
Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt is resigning from the group’s board amid a series of scandals that has rocked the high-dollar anti-Trump super PAC, Axios has learned.
Why it matters: Schmidt, a veteran Republican operative, is the latest and most high-profile departure from the group, which is reeling from revelations that another co-founder, John Weaver, used offers of professional advancement in a series of attempts to solicit sex from young men.
As you may recall, highly-principled Schmidt left the anti-trump brigades to run Howard Schultz’ presidential campaign, and returned when that campaign crashed and burned.
So, Steve; we of The Church of the Subgenius have as our prime tenet, “fuck ’em if they can’t take a joke.”
So sez Reverend Zafod Rockatansky, and anything uttered by a Reverend of the Church is at least, temporarily, gospel, and Praise J. R. “Bob” Dobbs, High Epopt andf Saint of Sales. [He could sell a mound of shit to a fly.] Google “subgenius.com”.

Other than having created a couple of cool and crafty ads denoting the obvious moral bankruptcy of republicans, what purpose do they serve? According to Driftglass and other liberal bloggers, there were no substantial dissentions amongst conservative voters. If anything, fat nixon’s support grew to 74 million morons, so the Lincoln project’s aim to stop trumpism, aka republicanism, failed.

I think Schmidt was quite sincere in his oft-repeated denunciations of the current GOP never mind Trump but it’s not like he’s ever going to join the Dems. He’ll just join whatever rump faction gets set up as the National Oligarch Party.

Schmidt said he’s a Democrat on Bill Maher’s show last night.

If he shows up at any Democratic Party meetings, he needs a chaperone to keep him away from the punch bowl.

If I was a meme-maker, I would make one using Buzzed Allyear with his hand on Woody’s shoulder, and the other one pointing out into space, while he’s saying, “Vermin. Vermin everywhere!”

Update: Steven Schmidt and a box of matches were last seen looking for a bridge.
