Dump Trump and the GOP

The impeachment memo is released, and it’s a good read. (Fair Warning! PDF!)

(Groundhog day, indeed.)

He knew what was being planned in his name.
    He had the rally anyway.
He never disavowed or discouraged it.

Isn’t that enough? His only defense is total incompetence if he didn’t know what was being plotted, in which case he should be impeached for that.

    • His only defense is “Fuck you, who’s gonna convict me?”

It’s also the only defense he needs to offer.

If his lawyers follow his desires and make it all about the Big Lie, he’ll gin up enough furor for another invasion, and the craven sociopaths who make up the GOP half of the Senate will vote to acquit anyway.

As I said on the last thread about the impeachment, he could literally stand in the well of the Senate and decapitate Nancy Pelosi on national TeeVee and half this fucked up country would cheer him on, and he would be acquitted.

I truly fear that we’re headed to a Rwanda-style insurrection.

Are the presiding officials allowed to stop the lawyers when they bring up irrelevant stuff? Because that might mitigate the damage a bit, especially with careful phrasing.

The wording in that document makes Jonathan Turley sound pretty stupid. Oh well, I’m sure he’s well compensated for his obfuscations

To reiterate BDR’s rant. They could have a meth head skin each and every one of them alive in his defense and the R’s would still acquit him.

Damn that B.Clinton taught them that going bugfuck crazy would give them everything they ever dreamed of with his “triangulation” strategy.
