    I was at Dachau in 1975 and I could still smell the burning human flesh.
    Something that sticks with me to this day.

      We visited Dachau in 2014. I didn’t know we were close until I saw Dachau Avenue on a street sign near our hotel in Munich. Dachau was where the Nazis tested and perfected their systems for mass murder.

      It’s an unspeakably evil place.

      At some point we visited the Residenz where Bavarian royalty lived. The guide repeated several times how areas of the building were repaired after Allied bombing. As if they didn’t have it coming.
