Wyoming GOP chair: Western states ‘paying attention’ to Texas effort to secede
“The chairman of the Wyoming Republican Party on Friday said Western states are “paying attention” to the effort by some in Texas’ far-right to try to secede from the United States…
“We need to focus on the fundamentals,” Eathorne said on the broadcast, which was recently banned by YouTube for peddling misinformation about the 2020 election. “We are straight talking, focused on the global scene, but we’re also focused at home. Many of these Western states have the ability to be self-reliant, and we’re keeping eyes on Texas too, and their consideration of possible secession. They have a different state constitution than we do as far as wording, but it’s something we’re all paying attention to.”
So what is driving the Gret Stet of Wyoming to think about leaving the union? The most important former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs in our nation’s history, maybe ever and 3rd-ranking GOP member of the House, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming, Blam-Blam’s daughter) voting to impeach Hair Füror.

Except for, you know, FOOD. Grovel before blue-blue California for their delicious produce.

hell, they can’t even be self reliant in grazing lands for their livestock, but they have to sponge off Federal lands.

Well, see, when they secede thy’ll be taking those with ‘um. Not gonna pay us for them, mind, you.
Then they’ll promptly overgraze ’em to worthless dirt and start staving to death.
Which is why we have the federal system we do. They moved in, genocided the natives and promptly strip-grazed the prairie to nothing.

We’ll be keepin’ the Social Security. And no more bail outs, welfare.

One of the biggest “taker” states in the union wants to go it alone? Shoot, I’ll help you pack! We’ll replace you with DC, which has twice your population and probably deserves statehood more than you do.

The top eight largest CITIES in the us each has more people than the bottom 10 STATES. The half million people who live in Wyoming are 1/9 of NYC. Why would we listen to them when the only thing they say is some variant on “WHITE POWER!”? Ignore their yelling, just service them like every other state. They don’t count until they apologize and work to be a part of the union again

I’ll get 3 lead pencils and a handful of change of address cards. That ought to do it for Wyoming, right?

I remember being taught in history class that the deal under which Texas entered the union allowed them to pack up and leave at their option. (Or to split into up to five smaller states.) Wyoming would have a harder row to hoe.

Yeaaaaaaahhhh that’s what they (using the Texas-approved textbooks!) say, but there is serious doubt that it’s enforceable.
Now, breaking into 5 states? There’s an idea! because there will be at least thee of ’em that turn blue in a heartbeat…

Texas promised to secede after Obama was elected. They’re still here. The principal product of Texas isn’t oil or cattle — it’s oral flatulence.

Or perhaps, no cattle and all hat. As the kidz say.

It would be extremely entertaining to watch one state secede. But several? I’d pay to see that pan out. And it’s guaranteed to be a bad move for the ones leaving.
