You cannot keep a good fascist down, I guess?
CNN:
Washington (CNN Busness)Parler’s website suddenly reappeared online Sunday afternoon with a message from its CEO, John Matze: “Hello world, is this thing on?”
The message, dated January 16, implies that the social network popular with members of the far right has found a new online hosting platform, after Parler was booted from Amazon Web Services on January 10 in the wake of the Capitol siege.
Parler’s domain is now registered with Epik, according to a WHOIS search. Epik is a company that sells domain names and is also the domain registrar for Gab, an alternative social network often used by members of the far-right. It remains unclear who is Parler’s web host; Parler didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
We do have some clues tho:
Get them all in one place, let them have their playdate and babble at each other, and hopefully National Security can keep an eye on them to prevent future insurrections.
The MIT newsletter has a round-up of stories on the return of Parler (I have not read these, not sure if I am going to):

hey, insurrectionists! Have fun sending all your information through Russian-controlled servers!

Well, given the T-shirts I’ve seen on some of the MAGAts that read, “I’d Rather Be a Russian Than a Democrat” (or some such nonsense), this is a golden opportunity for them to put their “don’t call it socialism!” welfare money where their single-toothed mouths are.

When travelling in Europe I generally take an old iPhone 5 with no SIM card and purchase a SIM card there to put in the phone because it’s cheaper than buying an overseas plan at home. In 2018 we did a Baltic cruise. We were warned when we docked at St Petersburg that Russian customs would scan our cell phone and have access to all of our personal affairs. Needless to say, I didn’t bring any electronic devices with me when we got off the boat. It’s hilarious that Parler is registering on a Russian server when you had to give up personal info to Parler in order to join. I wonder how many Parler users are anti vaxxers who were afraid Bill Gates was going to inject a tracking device in them. Additional bonus; because Parler is now on a Russian server it can be monitored by non other than the CIA and no court approved warrants are needed. Born again geniuses, they are.

“Shadow of its former self” you say. Stellar (less than) security practices like, say, conveniently flagging deleted posts so that the FBI can much more easily hoover up evidence to be used AGAINST YOUR OWN USERS, will do that.
What remains to be seen: will the mouth-breathers (non-incarcerated division) care?
Either way Parler is really gonna have to really up its IT game because (IMHO) various agencies (maybe even THE DEEP STATE) will be keeping a hairy eyeball on it.

Tragically they were at the “Dance Party” rather than incriminating themselves at the insurrection. ☹️

Yesterday I read that Parler, now being hosted in Mother Russia, falls under a different status (statue) as far as US spy agencies are concerned. Because they are now hosted by a hostile foreign power, they can be spied upon with little restraint, as opposed to when they were hosted here in the good ole US of A…

I was a stowaway on the sunken “S.S. Parler” just to check out the dimwit’s wailings & flailings firsthand and rode that shipwreck to the silty seabed.
I’ll be sitting this comrade-(s)crewed ship of fools out.
