Always be closing, as they say, and what could be more on-brand for the 4th Reich than a marketplace for grifters buying themselves clemency? I suppose this is somewhat normal, to find someone with access and get them to plead your case, but this lobbyist is scooping up well-off felons for something like a class-action case:
Prospect of Pardons in Final Days Fuels Market to Buy Access to Trump
“…One lobbyist, Brett Tolman, a former federal prosecutor who has been advising the White House on pardons and commutations, has monetized his clemency work, collecting tens of thousands of dollars, and possibly more, in recent weeks to lobby the White House for clemency for the son of a former Arkansas senator; the founder of the notorious online drug marketplace Silk Road; and a Manhattan socialite who pleaded guilty in a fraud scheme.”
I’m sure that Prznint McGrifter is going to get a cut of the cream off the top. Seriously, what’s in it for him is the Trump Prime Directive.
Ordinarily, I’d say that Mafia Don won’t grant paid-for pardons unless he can dip his beak. But he’s in the “FUCK YOU!” stage of his term and might pardon anyone who ever committed a federal crime.

Rudy’s allegedly asking for $2M per pardon. I guess he wants to make up for lost retainers. It is, though, allegedly through an “associate”. Maybe someone missed a paycheck because Rudy has lost an income stream.

Trump will monetize any of his presidential powers because he’s in dire financial straits. There’s still a rogues gallery of truly terrible villains waiting for those magic words and Trump and Stephen Miller and Roger Stone will gleefully hand out pardons if for no reason more than to see Democrats rage about them.
Trump is garbage. His cronies are garbage. So get ready for a garbage dump.
